Description
This painting is one of those all too rare happy accidents. I had a photograph of the thistle from my walk with the dog earlier in the day and was mesmerized by the purple colour of the petals. Unfortunately not such an easy colour to mix with watercolours, so trial and error resulted in this painting. The addition of pen details helped to cement the image.
